When I was a kid I hated to cook. My middle sister, A, loved it and was good at it. She and my mother both had the "touch." A little of this, a little of that, a pinch of salt and wah-la a gourmet meal.
Now, I love to cook/bake. I think it's my need to take care of others; plus I like entertaining. My boyfriend's coworkers asked him one day if I cooked; he responded "Yeah she can cook, but her baking is AWESOME." I'll take that compliment. For my birthday last year, his mother gave me the book "Hello Cupcake!" I absolutely love it! It's also made me a local rock star at work and family functions. A co-worker actually told me once I was indispensable in the office because I am the "cupcake lady."
Really, I am actually all set. I have 2 cupcake trees in various sizes, 3 different cupcake carriers and my BRAND NEW KitchenAid stand mixer. I've always wanted one and finally broke down and bought one for myself.
I'm excited to continue to pursuit of Domestic Goddess with the help of my new kitchen toys.
