Make It Stop Snowing

It's all over the news.  Northern Virginia is getting DUMPED on with snow.

We have gotten almost 3 feet of snow.  Between the b/f and myself we have 4 parking spaces and 2 sidewalks to shovel.  This picture doesn't even come close to doing justice to how painful the shoveling process was.

I'm so happy with myself.  I have some how managed to stay on tract with my dress making aspirations.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I LOVE birthdays.  I especially love my own birthday. 

I am excited to spend this year celebrating with a fantastic boyfriends, the best friends a girl could ask for and the staff of Medieval Times.  That's right we're going to a Knight Fight!

I heart weddings

I love weddings!  In all shapes, sizes, and forms.  

I'm excited because this year alone I have five weddings coming up.  

Thinking about my Dad's upcoming wedding I took to Google to find some dress inspiration.  I found gorgeous Navy fabric so knew I would focus on Navy concepts.  

Really it's just another excuse to peruse wedding websites :).

I love how colors POP against Navy.  So classic and clean.

Woops...I did it again.

I have a tendency to over commit myself, and well that's exactly what I may have done again.

My father is getting married in May, so I of course promised BOTH of my younger sisters and my beautiful baby niece that I would create four matching bridal party dresses.  In theory, this is perfect.  I can design construct, and showcase my work with some of our closest family and friends.  I can already hear the flood of compliments.

But reality is setting in - I've jumped in with both feet.

Not only do I have work, a boyfriend, a new home, and a dog to take care of; but now I need to find time to make 4 "bridesmaid-like" dresses.

Welp, here goes nothing!
