Happy Birthday to Me!

I LOVE birthdays.  I especially love my own birthday. 

I am excited to spend this year celebrating with a fantastic boyfriends, the best friends a girl could ask for and the staff of Medieval Times.  That's right we're going to a Knight Fight!

I heart weddings

I love weddings!  In all shapes, sizes, and forms.  

I'm excited because this year alone I have five weddings coming up.  

Thinking about my Dad's upcoming wedding I took to Google to find some dress inspiration.  I found gorgeous Navy fabric so knew I would focus on Navy concepts.  

Really it's just another excuse to peruse wedding websites :).

I love how colors POP against Navy.  So classic and clean.

Woops...I did it again.

I have a tendency to over commit myself, and well that's exactly what I may have done again.

My father is getting married in May, so I of course promised BOTH of my younger sisters and my beautiful baby niece that I would create four matching bridal party dresses.  In theory, this is perfect.  I can design construct, and showcase my work with some of our closest family and friends.  I can already hear the flood of compliments.

But reality is setting in - I've jumped in with both feet.

Not only do I have work, a boyfriend, a new home, and a dog to take care of; but now I need to find time to make 4 "bridesmaid-like" dresses.

Welp, here goes nothing!

Overdue Christmas Crafts update

A little overdue - but here are some fun photos from my holidays.

I love Christmas!  

Everyone seems so much happier and full of the "spirit" at least as long as you stay away from the malls.

So Blogging, huh?

When I was a little girl I kept a diary.  I was not very good at it.  By that I mean, I never quite got into the routine of daily journaling.  

Unfortunately, I do not have a clear defined purpose for this blog so I'm not sure I can hope for better results; although, I do know it is apparently "all the rage."
 - side note:  it may be time to retire "all the rage" as I am the only <40 person I know that uses the term


I hope to share my thoughts and attempts to be a free-thinking “Stepford-like” woman; perfectly groomed at any moment, always presentable, every woman’s envy, and every man’s wish.  HA - like the title says...please remember, I'm just practicing.

After all, practice makes perfect!
