Whoopsie...

Last Friday I attended a Christmas party that was traditionally hosted by Beau and I.  This year, our amazing friends picked up and ran with the tradition.  I was so incredibly grateful to be able to attend but it was bittersweet as I realized how much has changed in my life in the past 6 months.

At said party my friend C frankly said "You haven't been blogging."  After I apologized and brushed it off she reminded me to "get on that" because that's how she keeps up to date with me, fashion, decor, and other trends.  So with my sincerest apologies, and a dedication to C, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Now, let me fill you in.  Last we spoke (11/1/11 *yikes) I knew that change was coming.  I wasn't entirely prepared for it but I knew it loomed on the horizon.

Beau and I made the decision that I would follow him to Florida once he found a house and was a little more settled.  With the impending change I contacted a property management company to discuss what to do with my very first home.  He politely warned me the the holiday seasons were the worst time to find a renter.  I sympathized.  I didn't want to move during Thanksgiving and certainly not during Christmas.  That's when everything seemed to go into super sonic speed.

I listed the home for rent in the beginning of November assuming it would take 30, possibly 60 days to find a renter.  Boy was I wrong!  Within a week a family came to look at it and asked to rent it out.  The catch, they wanted to move in a week later. - Enter rollercoaster of emotions
- "Yay!  I have renters in my house." -
- "Oh my gosh, I have to move out of my house in a 3 days." -
- "Holy Moly, where am I going to live.....with my 2 dogs?" -

I knew I had to get to work.  I started by cleaning up.
Step 1:  Eat all of the remaining Halloween candy.
Step 2:  Finish all open bottles of wine that can not be shipped.
Is it a problem that I had 4 open bottles and I live by myself?

Ok, time to get serious.  I spent the next 3 days packing, stressing, eating, and cleaning.  The movers came packed all of our earthly belongings and trucked them down to storage in Florida.  Beau continued to TIRELESSLY search for a home in Florida.

Well, Beau has found a home, and is scheduled to close tomorrow morning.  I've started the packing once again with the hopes of landing in a more permanent home.  I'm excited and anxious about the upcoming changes - but I'll save more on that for later.
